El Ateneo se fund\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 1879 y pas\u00f3 por diferentes etapas hasta su cierre durante la Guerra Civil. Se refund\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 1976 y se ha convertido en un punto de referencia dentro del mundo cultural de la comarca ferrolana y de <strong>Galicia<\/strong>.
